Rwanda has several international flights that fly directly to Kigali international airport. Which is about 10km from capital Kigali. Among the international flights arriving to Kigali include SN Brussels, Kenya Airways, Air Rwanda express, Ethiopian express, Uganda airline, Qatar Airways /and Air Burundi.
Rwanda air Express has introduced two flights a day from Nairobi (Kenya) and Entebbe (Uganda). And two per week from Johannesburg. Rwanda air also has daily flights to Bujumbura and 3 flights weekly to Kilimanjaro.
You can also enter this beautiful country using road transport. There several buses which cross borders to Rwanda from Tanzania, Uganda, Burundi and Kenya. Apparently other means of entry like railways and water transport that can enable you access Rwanda are no longer working.
Rwanda has possibly the best roads in east Africa, and most of the roads are tarmac, most visitors who have booked through a tour company/operator will be provided with good private vehicles, usually 4-wheel drive.
All travelers to this country required to possess a valid passport with Visa in order to enter Rwanda. Visas can be applied online www.migration.gov.rw or you can contact the Rwandan embassy nearest you to know the visa requirement and apply it from there or, also you can get it upon your arrival at the Kigali international airport and a tourist visa costs $60 per person.
you can as well apply for East African visa his is a Joint Tourist Visa and it allows the traveler to travel to Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda ONLY. It can be used multiple times for tourism purposes.The visa prohibits employment and is issued only for tourism purposes. The visa is valid for 90 days and is not renewable upon expiry or upon exit from the block (Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda).
Visitors must apply for an “Entry Letter”. Although, In view of the bilateral agreements, nationals of the following countries may visit Rwanda without visa for a period of up to 90 days including Germany, Tanzania, USA, United Kingdom, Canada, Burundi, Democratic republic of Congo, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, Burundi, Sweden, Mauritius, South Africa and Hong Kong.
