Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: City tour and transfer to Ruhengeri

You will be picked from the hotel by our safari guide/driver, and later take you for a Kigali city tour and visit some of the interesting places around the city. Places to visit include the Kigali genocide memorial site, national museum, the first house, hand craft shops, among many others. Have lunch in Kigali city and then after , continue with the drive to Volcanoes national park in Ruhengeri with fantastic views passing through the beautiful exhilarating countryside with a lot of rolling hills which gives its stature as a country of ‘’a thousand hills’’.  Arrive in the evening  ate the lodge for relaxation, Dinner and overnight at

Day 2: Gorilla tracking adventure and afternoon transfer to Uganda.

Wake up early for breakfast; embark on a transfer to the park headquarters to receive short briefings about the dos and don’ts while with gorillas. After, follow the ranger guide to the forest to begin the memorable adventure in the forest.  The time taken to meet the gorillas is unpredictable as meeting them depends on where gorillas last seen or the gorilla family tracked. Once they are met you will stay with them for only one hour while studding their behaviors as well as taking photography. After this wonderful moment, return back to the lodge for refreshment and lunch and then later set off for Uganda, crossing via Chanika boarder to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will have a chance to compare gorillas of Rwanda with that of Uganda on this 8 Day Uganda Rwanda Gorilla Safari

Day 3: Gorilla tracking in Bwindi National park-Uganda

Early morning breakfast at the lodge is followed with a transfer to the park headquarters to receive short briefings about gorillas and also get you assigned to the ranger guide. After, you will be escorted by the ranger guide to the forest for the second gorilla tracking in the Bwindi impenetrable forest national for more experience. like in Rwanda.

The time taken to meet the gorillas is unpredictable, however, it can go from 1-8 hours so a reasonable degree of fitness is needed as well as tracking gears such as study pair of walking shoes/boots and once they are met you will forget all the troubles you have gone through and utilize the one hour you are allowed to stay with these giants. After meeting and staying with them for an hour, return back to the lodge and then in the evening if you still have energy go for a cultural walk. Dinner and an overnight at

 Day4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park.

Wake up early for breakfast and the after, set off to Queen Elizabeth national park by 7:30am. You will pass via Ruhija side of Bwindi national park to reach ishasha sector of the QENP in time to have a game drive for an opportunity to search the tree climbing lions sited on fig trees or tree branches. Also spot various species of antelopes, buffaloes, and elephant on the way to the park. Later arrive at Queen Elizabeth national park in time for lunch, in the evening at 4pm enjoy a launch cruise along the Kazinga channel where you will see lots of birds species, crocodiles and hippos, elephants and buffaloes just meters from the boat. Day5: Morning game drives and transfer to Kibale national park.

Wake up early for a cup of tea or coffee and then after transfer to the Kasenyi area of the park for game drives, where you will see various species of games that rush to their hideouts. Games expected to see include lion, elephant, buffaloes, bush buck, antelope, water bucks, hyena among many others. After this moment, drive back to the lodge for full breakfast and relax at the pool side as you wait for lunch.  Day 6: Chimpanzee tracking and nature walk in Bigodi wetland sanctuary.

Early morning breakfast to give your energy for chimp tracking and then after, assemble at the park headquarters for briefings about chimp tracking. After, escort the ranger guide to the forest to begin the search of chimps perhaps the most close relative to human sharing almost 98% of human genes. The search can go from 1-6 hours and ounce they are met only one hour is allowed with them. however in the process of tracking chimps you will see other primate species including the black and white colobus monkey, baboons, civet monkeys, grey checked mangbay among others.  After came back to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.  In the afternoon, go for a nature walk in Bigodi wetland sanctuary, where you will encounter a variety of birds and primate species plus various species of animals and trees.  Dinner and an overnight at
