Detailed itinerary for 6 Days Rwanda culture Safaris
Day 1: Arrival and City Tour
Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be met by our company representative. Who will transfer you to your pre-booked hotel in Kigali for check-in and some refreshments and rest. After a short rest, you will embark on a city tour where you will visit various cultural and historical sites including the Kigali Genocide Memorial, Inema Arts Center, and Caplaki Craft Village. You will also enjoy a traditional dance performance and later retire to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Visit to the National Museum of Rwanda
After breakfast, you will drive to Butare 2-3 hours’ drive to the intellectual capital of Rwanda as it’s commonly known. While here, you will have a chance to visit the National Museum of Rwanda. Which is the largest museum in the country and showcases Rwanda’s rich cultural heritage. You will learn a lot of things while in Butare including Rwanda’s pre-colonial history, traditional music, dance, and art. You will enjoy lunch in Butare and later in the afternoon, you will return to Kigali for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Visit to the King’s Palace Museum and Nyanza
After a hearty breakfast at the lodge, you will visit the King’s Palace Museum in Nyanza, which is about 2 hours’ drive from Kigali Rwanda’s capital and its largest city. This palace was home to the last monarchs of Rwanda before the country became a republic. You will tour the palace and learn about the customs, traditions, and way of life of the Rwandan monarchy. Later in the afternoon, you will return to Kigali for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Visit to the Cultural Village of Rwesero
After breakfast at the lodge, again your driver guide will drive you to the cultural village of Rwesero, which is located in the heart of the Nyungwe Forest; the drive will take about 3 hours form the capital city Kigali. This village is a living museum that showcases the traditional way of life of the Rwandan people. You will have the opportunity to participate in cultural activities such as cooking, weaving, and dancing. Later in the afternoon, you will return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
After an early breakfast, you will drive to Volcanoes National Park for gorilla trekking one of the best exciting activity one should not love to miss while to this beautiful country. A drive from Kigali to volcanoes national park takes between 1-2 hours. Upon your arrival at the park, you will go direct to the park headquarters to receive short briefing about the dos and don’ts while with the gorillas from the park wardens. After, they will get you assigned to the gorilla family to trek. the trek to meet the gorillas takes between 2-6 hours and ounce the gorillas are met, you will be allowed to stay with them for only one hour observing their behaviors as well taking as many photos and videos with them before returning to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
