Day1: Transfer to Bwindi national park

5 Day Double Gorilla Trek Uganda-Rwanda, Our safari guide meets and greets you at the hotel, gets you briefed about the safari and later transfer you to the Bwindi impenetrable national park in the south western part of Uganda. The drive will take about 7-9 hours passing through the banana and coffee plantation with different sights to people’s homestead and handicraft shorts along the way.

We will have stopovers at any interesting places like handicraft shops if interested you can shop the locally made items, we will stop also at the equator crossing at Kayebwe for snacks and informative talks. From here will continue to Mbarara for a one hour lunch break at (Agip Motel). After lunch, we will embark on our drive which will take us through Uganda’s rolling green hills through the highlands also known as the ‘’Switzerland of Uganda’’ your road will even head higher to where you can see the triangular peaks of the Virunga Volcanoes of Rwanda and the Congo, continue down into the valley and finally to Bwindi impenetrable national park. Day2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi national park

A relatively early morning breakfast to give you energy for gorilla tracking after, report to the park headquarters to receive a short briefing from the park wardens or senior ranger guide about the whole process of mountain gorilla tracking and also gets you allocated to the gorilla family and the ranger guide. From here the guide will take you through the bush to begin the most breathtaking safari activity at the park gorilla tracking. The trek will take you through thick and muddy forest with steep slopes, so a reasonable degree of physical fitness is needed and you should don’t forget tracking gears like study pair of walking shoes/boots, long sleeved shirts or blouses, and tracking time is unpredictable it can go from a half to full day while searching these giants, as meeting them depends on where they spent the night before.

Day 3: Transfer to Rwanda

Day 4: Mountain Gorilla Tracking.

After breakfast, you  drive to the park headquarters to receive short briefings by the park wardens/ senior ranger guide. And also gets you allocated to the gorilla family in respect to client’s physical abilities. After briefing, the ranger guide will transfer you to the starting point. To begin the search of our close cousins who shares almost 97% human genes.  This is a breathtaking experience on should not love to miss in the life time. Gorilla tracking time  unpredictable as the time to meet these giants depends on where they last seen the previous day, so a reasonable degree of fitness is needed as well tracking gears like strong pairs of walking shoes/boots.

It’s a breathtaking moment to sit among the gorillas listening to them grumble to each other, it’s an extraordinary feeling sitting in the forest knowing you are with a few of the last remaining mountain gorillas, it’s amazing that only 880 of these remaining creatures left. When you finally meet the mountain gorillas, you will have a magical chance to see them feeding and crushing through the underbrush, babies running around and full-grown gorillas inching toward observers loudly declaring their importance.
