On arrival at Kigali international airport, our safari guide/driver will meet and greet you and later drive you to volcanoes national park with a scenic drive all through. The drive from Kigali to volcanoes national park is about 2-3 hours , however if you arrive in time in Kigali, you will first go for a Kigali city tour and visit interesting places like genocide memorial site in Gisozi, handicraft markets, national museum among others. Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Tracking.
Wake-up early for a cup of tea/ coffee to get energy for this memorable encounter with the endangered mountain. your guide/ driver will drive you to the park headquarters to receive short briefings from the park wardens/ senior ranger guide, also gets you allocated to the gorilla family in respect to client’s physical abilities. After briefing, the ranger guide will transfer you to the starting point to begin the search of gorillas, the gorilla search can last from 1-6 hours depending on where they last spent their night from. ounce they are met, you are strictly allowed only one hour with them, while taking photography as well as imitating their calls. After this excitment, return to the point where your vehicle is stationed so as to transfer you back to the lodge, if the evening is free, you may go for nature walk to Lake Ruhondo and Burera (Optional) or go to batwa community. Day 3: Transfer to Lake Kiva
This day you will depart volcanoes national park after breakfast to Lake Kivu Rwanda’s freshest water body, the lake offers an opportunity to enjoy beach activities like swimming, beach volley ball, sun bathing and also you can decide to take a boat ride to the nearby island while on the boat you will see many species of birds that feed on the lake, fishermen and people’ plantation in the vicinity.
