Day 1: Arrival and Half Day Kampala City tour

On arrival at Entebbe international airport on your 13 Days Uganda-Rwanda Tour, our safari guide will be waiting for you to transfer you to your booked accommodation in Kampala Uganda’s capital and largest city. however if you arrive in time in Kampala, you explore the Kampala city and visit some of the interesting places around, including the Kasubi Tombs the burial place of over 4 kings of Buganda, Buganda kingdom to get more information about the origin and history of Buganda, visit the Namirembe and Rubaga cathedral, one of the biggest Christian churches in Africa. Both churches offer a magnificent view of Kampala city, if time allows you will visit Namugongo shrine where over 22 Uganda martyrs where killed for failure to renounce their faith. Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Our safari guide will pick you up from your hotel in the morning after a hearty breakfast, gets you briefed about the safari and later drive you to the northeastern part of Uganda and finally to Murchison falls national park. The drive will take about 5-7 hours passing via Luweero triangle which is greatly remembered for the war victims, continue through Nakasongola to Masindi. However before reaching Masindi, you may decide to visit the Ziwa rhino sanctuary and track the black and white rhino that are habituated here.

Tracking costs usd 40 per person. From here we will continue to Masindi town for lunch, after an hour lunch break we will proceed to the top of the fall where the water marvels at the Might Nile being forced into a seven meter crevice to thunder 45 meters below in a series of cascades. While here one can appreciate the staggering power with which the Nile crashes through the narrow gap in the escarpment. From here we will take a ferry crossing to our booked accommodation. Day 3: Game drive and Launch cruise

Wake up early for a cup of tea/coffee, after you will be driven to the northern part of the park to catch up with early risen that rush from their hideouts, you will be fortunate to catch up with many predators and nocturnal animals including the leopard, hyena, hartebeests, lion, other animals expected to see include herds of elephant, buffaloes, giraffe, and many various species of antelopes plus a number of bird species. The guide will be in position to give you any informative information on any species of wildlife you meet on the way.

After the activity, came back to the lodge for full breakfast and lunch. Then after lunch embark on a two hours boat cruise along the Nile for more chance to see various species of wildlife that feed and live on the lake including schools of hippos and crocodiles just a few meters from the boat, while elephants and buffaloes can be seen along the shoreline, the boat cruise also gives more chance to spot various species of birds including the fish eagle, and you may also see the rare shoebill. Day 4: Depart to Fort portal Kibale National park.

After breakfast on your 4ths day of 13 Days Uganda-Rwanda Tour, we will embark on a transfer to Fort portal with beautiful views of peoples homestead and plantation. The drive from Murchison to kibale forest N.P is about 7 hours’ drive and we will arrive in the late afternoon with lunch en-route in Fort portal. From here we will proceed to Kibale forest national park popularly known for the highest concentration of primate species over 13 species are inhabited in kibale forest N.P  however, the commonly known is the chimpanzee which shares almost 98% of DNA make-up. Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi nature walk

Wake up early for breakfast to give you energy for chimp tracking, and after you will report to the ranger station in kibale forest national park at 8:00am to receive short briefings about chimp tracking and also gets you assigned to the ranger guide to track the habituated chimps. After, follow the ranger guide to the forest to start the activity. Chimps are more closely related to humans than to any other living creature on earth; they are tremendous fun to watch when jumping from tree to tree. the time taken in search of these creatures is unpredictable.

However it can go from 1-6 hours as meeting them depends on where they spent their last night from  ounce they are met only one hour is strictly allowed with them while studding their behaviors as well as taking photography. Others species of primates can also be seen in the process of chimp tracking including red colobus monkey, the rare L’Hoest, blue monkey, grey mangabey, pottos, baboons, bush babies, yellow-billed barbets, Narina Trogon among many others plus various species of birds , mammals and butterflies. Day 7: Chimpanzee tracking and launch cruise

After breakfast at the lodge, leave for kyambura gorge at 8:00am for chimp tracking after a short briefing from the park warden about the chimp tracking. Day 8: Depart for Bwindi Gorilla National Park

Wake up early for a relatively early breakfast and then after, depart to Bwindi impenetrable national park a home to the few remaining mountain gorillas in the world, with a wide variety of bird life and primates over 348 species of birds are recorded in the area and it supports 24 of 26 Albertine rift endemics. Depending on the nature of the road, we will pass via the famous part of the park famously known as the Ishasha sector known for housing the rare tree climbing lions, try to search them they are so interesting to spot sited in on fig trees or tree blanches. Day9: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi national park

An early morning breakfast is followed with a transfer to the park headquarters to receive a short briefing from the park wardens about the whole process of mountain gorilla tracking and also gets you allocated to the gorilla family and the ranger guide. From here the guide will take you through the bush to begin the most breathtaking safari activity at the park gorilla tracking.
